Jules Verne Day
On 9 October 2010, the “Jules Verne Day”, the fall meeting of the Society took place in Driebergen.
After the traditional internal bookmarket ...

... the meeting started, with a goodbye to treasurer Gerrit Boers.
After the break, Henk Broekhuijsen showed a miniature Nautilus.
The machine can really float.
Annemiek van den Heuvel brought a plastic figurine representing a scene from Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea.
The archivist, Frits Roest, showed some interesting objects from the archive, such as the original stamp for the famous “blue covers” ...
... and the unfolding globe that was issued in 1881 and that is extremely rare today.
Finally he gave a presentation on the archive, which has been largely digitised and can easily be searched.
